Is Now the Best Time to Go to Rehab in Thailand?
Could now be the best time for residential treatment in Thailand as rehabs feel the pinch from coronavirus.
As rehabs in Thailand struggle with the reduced demand from addicts needing treatment for addiction, some see an opportunity in finding the most individualised care and the best possible price.
According to Chris Davies at Rehabs.asia “Thailand is still accessible and open to visitors from most countries from which patients usually come from”. He believes that due to the slump in demand, some rehabs are willing to negotiate on price or extend treatment durations. “It also means you will be unlikely to have shared rooms”.
The coronavirus looks set to dominate our daily lives over the next few months and it’s not just the addiction treatment industry that will take a hit. Most rehab clinics in Thailand have procedures in place to contain the spread of the virus and medial support is already in place due to the nature of their business!
